There are many ways to support YMCA Camp Coniston.
Here are just a few:

Send a child to camp:  Each year Coniston’s legendary community (consisting of alumni, parents, staff and even other campers) comes together to fund and support camp experiences for youth who could not otherwise afford them. More than $116,000 in services were donated in 2006 as a result of these efforts.

A letter campaign is held every spring and fall to solicit funds for this purpose. More information will be posted soon.

Land Campaign: The camp is presently running a campaign to raise more than $500,000 to purchase the last remaining parcel surrounding our lake that is not owned by the camp. A volunteer group of grandparents is trying to contact other like minded parents and grandparents to help camp succeed in this effort! 

This acquisition will permanently secure Coniston’s boundaries and ensure camper safety for the future. Please consider making a donation to this campaign.

The Grandparents Group: A group of grandparents are inviting other grandparents help the land purchase on behalf of all campers. They feel passionately about the importance of this campaign for the future of Coniston. These individuals have seen rapid change in many areas of the country brought about by development, and want to assure all Coniston campers of a peaceful campsite for the future.

Volunteer: As a service organization Coniston provides a variety of volunteer opportunities for interested people. In addition to our volunteer Board of Directors, the camp has numerous committees and frequently benefits from hands on projects completed by volunteers. Recent projects include renovation of Boys Cabin, construction of a new chapel, and Camp Winning Spirit a program for families with pediatric cancer diagnoses.  In fact, YOU are using a volunteer project right now—our website is managed by a current camp parent and alumni.
