Check-in and check-out days are exciting days at camp.
Here is some information that will help you know what to expect:
Resident Camp Check-in Day
Two-week resident campers should arrive on Sunday between
noon and 2:00 pm.
One-week resident campers should arrive on Monday between 11:00 am and noon.
- Arriving early only increases your wait time, as our staff need time to prepare for a smooth check-in for the children.
- Lunch is not served on check-in day for two-week sessions, so please be sure to eat lunch before arriving at camp. Lunch is served on check-in day for the one-week session.
Upon your arrival you will be greeted at the the camp gate and directed where to park your vehicle on the Athletic Field (A-Field).
There will be numbered cones, representing cabin numbers, placed on the perimeter of the A-Field/parking lot. One side for Boy’s Camp, and the other side for Girl’s Camp.
Cabin assignments are available and posted at noon. If you arrive early you may park but will need to wait to unload your luggage on the A-Field. Families arriving at noon or after will receive cabin assignments from staff as you pull in to the field.
Families are asked to mark their camper’s name and cabin number on each item of luggage. Staff armed with masking tape and markers will be there to help.
Please unload any suitcases, trunks or duffle bags at the appropriate numbered stake that corresponds to your child’s cabin number. Unload the rest of your child’s light or fragile gear and carry it with you. Luggage dropped off at the A-Field will be delivered to the proper cabin as soon as possible.
To receive a cabin assignment, the following documentation must have been completed and received by the camp office by the indicated deadline (May 1st):
- Health History and Examination form with a copy of your health and prescription insurance card.
- Yellow Activity form
- Blue "Letter to my Cabin Leader"
- Pink Permission for Possession and Use of EpiPens & Asthma Inhaler (if needed)
- Payment in full
Anyone with missing health forms will need to meet with nursing staff in the Pavilion before they receive their cabin assignment.
Anyone with other missing forms will need to visit the camp office before they receive their cabin assignment.
If you have medications (prescription and over the counter), proceed to the pavilion with your child and their medications for a quick check-in with the nurses regarding dosage. If there is a long line you may check in at your cabin first. All medications must be in their original containers with instructions printed on the bottle.
Campers who have no medications can proceed directly to the Health Check tent just outside of their respective camps so that cabin counselors can do a general health and head lice check.
PLEASE, let us know at this time if:
- your child has had a fever in the past 24 hours
- your child has had a sore throat or cough in the past 24 hours
- your child has been exposed to anyone that is ill in the past 24 hours
- your child has had any vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24 hours
- there anything medically we should know about your child
Once your camper is cleared at the Health Check tent, he/she will be given a pass to go to his/her cabin.
Boating/Swim Test: At 2:00 pm the campers will need to be in their cabins to get ready for the waterfront boating testing (100 yards swimming and 5 minutes treading water). Campers proceed to the boating testing as a cabin group with their counselors.
Camp Store: Campers do not have a store account. Please purchase sweatshirts, hats, etc. on check-in and check-out days. The camp store will be open during check-in and check-out hours.
Parents and visitors of two-week campers should plan to leave camp by 2:30 pm*.
Parents and visitors of one-week campers should plan to leave camp by noon.
This allows your children time and space to make new friends and get together with their counselors.
* First-time parent meeting: There will be a meeting for first time camper parents in the Dining Hall at 2:00 pm on check-in days of two-week resident camp.
Resident Camp Check-Out Days
Two-week resident camp check-out days are on Saturday from 9:00 am - 11:00 am.
One-week resident camp check-out day is on Saturday from 9:00 am-10:00 am.
When you arrive, please park your car on the Athletic Field, same as on check-in day. Walk into Main Camp and go to your camper’s cabin and meet your camper. Please don’t enter the Boys or Girls Camp areas until AFTER 9:00 am. You will need to sign out your camper with one of the cabin counselors.
Your child’s luggage will be delivered to the A-Field. Please check your camper’s cabin for any gear not packed and delivered to the A-Field by truck. Check the clothesline outside the cabin, too!
See the Nurses! Pick up any medications from the nurses who will be stationed in front of the Dining Hall.
Register for next summer! Registration forms will be available at the table set up in an area near the dining hall.
Check for Lost & Found items! Check all Lost & Found locations (main camp, bath houses, cabins). The camp will not send Lost & Found items to campers after session check-out. Please check all locations thoroughly. Due to the overwhelming amount of Lost & Found, the camp cannot sort through and return belongings left behind. All Lost & Found is donated to charity at the end of each session.
Please… No dogs!
We understand that your dog is a member of your family, but because not all dogs like each other, we ask that you please leave them home or with a friend on check-in and check-out days.
Adventure Camp Check-in and Check-out
