YMCA Camp Coniston is fortunate to have a dedicated group of fun, energetic alumni who maintain the friendships they made during Coniston summers and whenever possible “give back” to the camp and the camp community. Many camp alumni send their own children to camp, and participate in reunions and local get-togethers and are annual donors to camp.
Who are Camp Coniston alumni?Anyone who was a camper or staff member at Camp Coniston, The New New Hampshire YMCA Camping Reservation or Camp Soangetaha anytime from 1911 to present.
There’s only one thing better than being a Coniston alum…being a current camper or staff member!

There are a number of ways to keep up with what is happening at camp and within the Alumni community.
Here are a few specific suggestions:
Send us your Contact Information! Camp sends out various mailings and emails during the year: The Coniston Chronicle newsletter, the camp annual & calendar, registration updates, fundraising appeals, etc.Make sure camp has your current contact information so you can stay up to date on the great things happening at Coniston. Don’t worry, it’s not a huge amount of mail and your information is safe in the woods of Croydon. Send your mailing address and email address information via email to the camp office (info@coniston.org) or fill out the camp information request form by clicking here.
Check this web site’s homepage often! The web site’s homepage has areas on it that are updated directly by the camp staff all throughout the year, often on a daily basis. There is a “picture of the day” that rotates frequently, often several times a day. There is also an archive of the most recent of these pictures. The year round staff also posts notices and important information on the “Clipboard” on the homepage to let everyone know what’s happening at camp throughout the year.
Become a friend of “YMCA Camp Coniston” on Facebook. Facebook has already connected over 1200 Coniston alumni and friends. Send a friend request to “YMCA Camp Coniston” to reconnect with your old camp friends and to share memories, stories and pictures. The year-round camp staff maintain this page and post important camp news and upcoming events.
Visit Camp! If you are ever “in the neighborhood,” stop on by. It is best to call the office first, (603) 863-1160, and let someone know that you are coming. The office is staffed year-round. Check the homepage “Clipboard” as it will update when the office is closed. Visit any time of year. There is an Open House, in June, each year when summer staff are here to give tours and answer questions. Can’t remember where the camp is? Check out the directions page.
Send your child (or someone else’s for that matter!) to Coniston! Nothing connects you back to Coniston like having your son or daughter attend the same camp you did. Your child may even be in a cabin with other children of alumni! Rates and registration materials can be found here. Check the Clipboard on the homepage for registration updates during the year.
Attend or Organize a Reunion! There have been a number of camp reunions held over the years. Check the web site often to learn about any “at-camp” reunions that might be being planned. Or organize a camp reunion of your own! Be it your cabin group, your CIT group or staff you worked with, it is always blast to spend time with old camp friends. The year-round staff are happy to be a resource for you during your reunion planning.
